Political fundraisers
Year: 2002-2016
Jill curated a series of literary readings and dinners in support of progressive causes in my barn. Authors included Joyce Carol Oates, Alice Waters, Liz Gilbert, Chang Rae Lee, and many others. A giant statue of Liberty puppet led 300 diners at one long table into the barn for the readings.

Dancing Dead

Jill curated an evening of a commissioned dance performance with Philadelphia’s JUNK troupe and six fifteen-foot tall dancing skeletons

Rolling Harvest Food Rescue Festival

Six massive strolling vegetables constructed of papier-mache circumnavigate a field to convey the story of food waste and food insecurity among the working poor in rural Pennsylvania

A performance of an essay involving a twenty-foot-tall dress from which the author gave birth to herself.
